‘Fancy Free’ is the #1 ‘Breakout Song on the US Billboard Club Chart

This week Sun’s single ‘Fancy Free’ clinches the #1 Spot on the United States Billboard’s Club ‘Breakout’ Chart. This means it is the number one ‘Breakout Song’ or the most played new entry song in all the clubs in America!

The Billboard charts tabulate the relative weekly popularity of songs or albums in the United States. The results are published in Billboard magazine. 

Billboard is considered the foremost worldwide authority worldwide in music charts and the rankings have gained a following among the general public. The Billboard Dance/Club Chart is a weekly national survey of the songs that are most popular in U.S dance clubs.

All we can say is, its fabulous the U.S are ‘fancy free’ and dancing to the melodies of Singapore’s own Sun Ho.

An interesting piece of news

Recently we heard news that this December Sun’s schedule might include a detour to a little city island that has long missed her presence.

We’re not sure if its true or not but all we can say is keep your fingers crossed!

Sun on iheart radio’s recommended list

On Wednesday, Sun was listed on iheart radio’s recommended list together with Ke$ha and The Maine. Iheartradio.com, which is home to over 350 radio stations, videos and more, listed SUN as one of asia’s top leading artists urging viewers to ‘discover’ the magic of her latest single ‘Fancy Free’.

Sun was also picked as Clear Channel’s hot new artist to watch.

The collaboration

Singapore (2 May 2008)—Local newspaper Today reported on Sun Ho’s latest collaboration with Grammy Award-winning pop icon Olivia Newton-John. The pair recorded a song entitled “Isn’t It Amazing” for the album Songs of Hope and Inspiration: Olivia and Friends to raise funds for cancer patients.

This humanitarian initiative by Olivia involves a project called “The Great Walk to Beijing” where Olivia and a team of celebrities, athletes and Olympians will go on a 21-day walk in China. The album also features other music artistes like Keith Urban, Richard Marx and Cliff Richard.

The duo recorded their tracks separately with Sun doing hers in US and Olivia in Australia. The duo eventually met to put the finishing touches to the track at Wyclef Jean’s studio in New York.
